    Justin Abizadeh is a Vice President and has been a part of the Lantern team for 4 years. Using his knowledge of the national retail landscape, Justin aims to collaborate with unique brands to construct & execute nationwide expansion strategies & has guided brands such as Canada Goose, Dyson, Allbirds, & Tecovas to attain their real estate aspirations & enhance their enterprise value. Justin utilizes his background in finance to optimize revenue & deliver long term profitable growth to property owners such as Safra (JSRE), Related & Acadia Realty Trust.

    Prior to joining Lantern, Justin completed an internship doing Equity Research at JGR Capital Partners & was a Finance & Investments major at Baruch College in New York.

    Jessica Adler joined Lantern Real Estate as a Leasing Associate in June of 2021. Jess graduated from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University with a major in Real Estate. While Jess was at Syracuse, she was a member of the Real Estate Club and a part of the East Light Partners team, which was a way for students to get real world experience in the Real Estate industry. Prior to joining Lantern, Jess gained experience interning at Keller Williams and NIA National Realty, a boutique commercial real estate firm located in NJ. Jess is passionate about retail and aims to introduce new and exciting companies to landlords with the goal of establishing their brand identities in new markets. Jess is based out of the New York Office.

    Sara Armet joined Lantern as a retail leasing advisor in January 2023. Her experience reflects the natural evolution of a lifelong commitment to and passion for stores.

    After working in luxury sales at Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodman for over a decade, Sara Armet embarked on a career in real estate in 2019.

    Most recently, she worked as Portfolio Manager at Retail by MONA, where she represented some of the most iconic landlords, including RFR Realty, on major corridors throughout New York City. In 2022, she was recognized for CoStar Power Broker Quarterly Deals for Breitling at 875 Washington Street.

    Sara understands the unique motivations of her clients, serving as a thought partner to fashion start-ups and experiential concepts to digitally native and luxury brands. Notable tenant representation includes Ben Soleimani at 601 Madison Avenue, ISHTA Yoga at 816 Broadway, and RENNA at 416 West 13th Street. Sara prides herself in her intuition, tenacity, and entrepreneurial spirit. Her creative involvement with ‘No Purchase Necessary’, an activation by pop-artist Jojo Anavim in the Meatpacking District was highlighted in Forbes.

    A resident of the Upper East Side, Sara remains an active board member and lay leader at Jewish National Fund, UJA Federation of New York, and Chabad Young Professionals.

    Tal Bar-or is a real estate executive with over 15 years of experience focused on finance and capital markets. Having begun his career in development and acquisitions, Tal is trusted for strategic guidance and execution expertise.

    Tal has financed over $6.0 billion covering multifamily, condominium, office, retail, industrial, hospitality and other asset classes throughout the United States. In addition, Tal has financed projects in all stages of the development cycle, including acquisition, construction and permanent loans. Representative clients include REITs, private equity funds, family offices and entrepreneurs.

    Prior to Lantern Real Estate, Tal was a Senior Managing Director of Meridian Capital Group and led a team charged with origination and execution for institutional clients.

    Prior to joining Meridian he was Vice President in the CMBS and Real Estate Finance Group of Citi Markets & Banking, leading a team of bankers with responsibility in the origination of fixed-rate, floating-rate and construction loans, as well as other credit products to real estate investors, developers and funds. Additionally, he worked with the Investment Banking team to provide property level finance expertise on M&A, LBO and other corporate-level transactions.

    Tal is a Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves as a Member of the Investment Committee and Advisory Committee of several real estate private equity funds.

    Harris Brown is a Capital Markets Vice President and has been with Lantern since February 2020. Harris has closed transactions across the United States including pre-development, construction, bridge and permanent loans on multifamily, industrial, retail, office, hotel properties + more. He has also assisted in various equity placements, note sales + loan workouts.

    Prior to joining Lantern Real Estate, Harris completed a two-year Analyst program at Royal Bank of Canada and completed internships at The Durst Organization and Blue Ridge Capital. Harris received a dual major from The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University in both real estate and finance, and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. Harris is based out of the NYC office.

    Payal Doshi joined Lantern in October of 2021. Payal has over seven years of retail leasing experience providing brokerage and consulting solutions for retailers and landlords nationally.

    Payal combines her real estate knowledge and expertise in retail and design to develop customized retail competition landscapes, phased retail roll-out plans and targeted site selections for clients, as well as conduct lease analyses.

    She also specializes in incorporating retail market trends, demographic information, traffic counts, ecommerce sales information, and individualized commuting patterns to develop comprehensive expansion plans for global retail brands.

    In addition, she helps institutional landlords maximize value by identifying emerging brands as well as non-traditional retailers that are well suited for select properties.

    Ms. Doshi is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and YMWREA. Prior to joining Lantern, Payal was a Director at Thor Retail Advisors for over six years. Payal graduated from the University of Michigan with Honors concentrating on design and entrepreneurship.

    Rachel Edmunds is a real estate professional with over 10 years of experience specializing in retail leasing.

    Rachel’s creative theater and arts background has provided a unique approach when working with retailers. There is an element of storytelling and a deep understanding of a brands’ narrative as they explore and enter into brick-and-mortar real estate. Rachel has proven to be a true thought partner in developing and executing strategic expansion plans nationally with transactional experience in every major city across the country. With experience in both tenant advisory services and landlord representation, Rachel has proudly represented global brands such as Theory, Zwilling, Toyota, Uniqlo and Hermes, as well as the leading and innovative e-commerce and direct to consumer brands including Allbirds, Dyson, Cuyana, Deciem, Warby Parker, Tecovas and Capsule Pharmacy.

    Prior to joining Lantern, Rachel was the Director of Real Estate at Spacious Technologies, a drop-in workspace network throughout New York City and San Francisco. She expanded their dedicated model of activating vacant retail space across Manhattan and Brooklyn, negotiating and executing license agreements with several ownership groups including Harbor Group International, Premier Equities, Continental Ventures and The Riese Organization. The growth of Spacious caught the eye of the coworking leader, The We Co., and ultimately led to a successful acquisition in August 2019.

    Prior to Spacious, Rachel worked on both the principal and advisory side of the business at Thor Equities and Thor Retail Advisors. She assisted the firm’s Acquisitions and Capital Markets teams as they sourced investments in Miami, Washington D.C., Nashville, Austin and Charleston as well as their expansion into Montreal, London and France. Rachel then transitioned to the Thor Retail Advisors group specializing in advisory services for luxury and high street retail transactions.

    Rachel is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a Licensed New York Salesperson.

    Nicholas Godfred joined Lantern Real Estate as an Associate on the Capital Markets team in 2021. Nick is responsible for arranging debt and other structured financing solutions for clients seeking acquisition, construction, and permanent financing across all asset classes. Nick has direct experience in commercial real estate finance and valuation in all major markets throughout the United States. Prior to Lantern, Nick completed an internship with UBS Real Estate & Private Markets on the Valuation team, and subsequently worked as an Analyst on the Portfolio Management team. Nick graduated from the School of Business at the University of Connecticut with a degree in real estate and Urban economics and is based out of Palm Beach.

    William Hackbarth is a Capital Markets Associate and joined Lantern Real Estate in 2023. Will’s role involves coordinating and executing various forms of financing solutions, including debt and structured financing, for clients who require funding for acquisition, construction, and long-term financing across all asset types. These financing options may include pre-development, construction, bridge, and permanent loans for properties such as multifamily, industrial, retail, office and hotels. Prior to joining Lantern, Will worked in multiple acquisition roles across hospitality, retail, and multi-family at GHIG in Hong Kong, EB Arrow In Dallas, and AH3 in Scottsdale. Will graduated from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University with a degree in Finance and is based out of the Palm Beach office.

    Jolie Horowitz joined Lantern as an Associate on the Capital Markets team in June of 2023. to source capital solutions for clients seeking acquisition, construction and permanent financing across all asset classes.

    Jolie joined Lantern immediately after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business with majors in Real Estate and Marketing. Prior to joining Lantern, Jolie gained experience in the Capital Markets group at Newmark and completed an internship abroad while studying in London.

    Christopher Mark joined Lantern as an Associate on the Capital Markets team in 2023 to arrange debt and structured financing solutions for clients seeking acquisition, construction, and permanent financing across all asset classes. Chris graduated from Villanova University where he majored in finance and real estate. While at Villanova, he participated in competitive real estate focused case competitions and participated in the DiLella Mulroy real estate fund, which is a student managed fund that invests actual equity in live deals. He also took his real estate interests outside the classroom as well, interning at CBRE in the summer of 2022 as an Advisory and Transactions intern in Chicago. Chris is passionate about capital markets and aims to introduce innovative capital solutions to clients across asset classes.

    Matthew A. Seigel is a real estate executive with fifteen years of professional experience with a strong focus on retail leasing and consulting.  Matthew provides transactional expertise representing both tenants and property owners, completing high-profile and complex leases across North America.  In addition, Matthew has become a leading thought partner known for developing and implementing real estate strategic plans.

    Matthew’s advisory capabilities are founded in his passion for brands and his thorough knowledge of the national real estate landscape.  Matthew has worked to build a platform that serves clients with equal understanding of market conditions in urban locations and shopping centers alike.  Matthew has a unique breadth of experience both in tenant advisory services and landlord agency representation.  Matthew is proud and honored to work with brands ranging from Hermes and Zegna to Theory and Canada Goose.  Additionally, Matthew has maximized property value for institutional landlords and developers and individual property owners alike.

    Matthew pioneered the service line advising the leading direct-to-consumer brands navigate their entry into brick-and-mortar retail.  Matthew has acquired leading market share in the DTC space serving as outsourced real estate departments for brands including Warby Parker, Dyson, Tecovas, Allbirds and Casper achieving outstanding results and creating enterprise value.

    Prior to joining co-founding Lantern Real Estate, Matthew was a Senior Director with Cushman & Wakefield Retail Services and the practice lead and Executive Vice President at Thor Retail Advisors.  Mr. Seigel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves in advisory roles for some of the venture backed companies he advises.

    David Strongwater is a real estate investment professional with fifteen years of experience in corporate investment banking, principal investing and real estate advisory. David is a senior member of the team, with a focus on principal transactions, debt and equity advisory, and merchant banking. David has a deep understanding of the real estate industry, from single-property operations to complex capital structures, to REIT accounting and valuation. Given his experience, David has substantial experience structuring and executing a diversity of public and private real estate transactions.

    Prior to Lantern Real Estate, David was Vice President in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging Investment Banking group. During his five years with the group, David successfully completed 72 M&A, capital markets and financing transactions across a variety of asset classes, valued at over $69 billion. David was ultimately promoted to Chief Resource Officer, overseeing 35 junior teammates, and building significant group infrastructure.

    Prior to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, David worked at Madison International Realty and Newmark Knight Frank’s Capital Markets Group, successfully completing numerous real estate principal investment and advisory transactions.

    Skye Taylor is a real estate professional with over eight years of experience in retail leasing.

    Skye’s capabilities and experience have made her a trusted advisor and consultant to tenants and property owners in New York City and nationally.

    Skye enjoys partnering with brands to develop and execute strategic expansion plans. Throughout her career, she has represented esteemed luxury and contemporary fashion brands such as LVMH, Theory, and Zadig & Voltaire, as well as some of the most exciting and innovative direct-to-consumer retailers including Allbirds, Casper, Dyson, and Tecovas. Additionally, Skye consults on L3 Capital’s Williamsburg, Brooklyn portfolio.

    Prior to Lantern Real Estate, Skye was a Director at Thor Retail Advisors for five years and played an integral role in helping to establish the company as one of the industry’s preeminent real estate advisory firms. Skye is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
